COMPREHENSIVE ETHERNET TESTING for new circuit turn-up is essential in order to ensure quality of services being delivered. Simple Ping tests are not sufficient in determining performance and quality of the circuit. New SLA agreements require not only documenting the availability but documenting the performance quality of the actual transmission.
Using the standard RFC-2544 test, we will test end to end at a minimum the following performance criteria: CIR (committed line rate), EIR (excessive information rate), latency, jitter, frame errors, bit errors, and QoS levels. Minimum testing periods vary per customer SLA and depending on the need to troubleshoot each circuit.
